Serving The Servant King

THE SERVANT KING

From heaven you came, helpless babe,
Entered our world, your glory veiled;
Not to be served but to serve,
And give Your life That we might live.

This is our God, the servant king,
He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives
As a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.

There in the garden of tears,
My heavy load He chose to bear;
His heart with sorrow was torn,
‘Yet not My will But Yours,’ He said.

This is our God, the servant king,
He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives
As a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.

Come see His hands And His feet,
The scars that speak of sacrifice;
Hands that flung stars Into space
To cruel nails Surrendered.

So let us learn How to serve,
And in our lives Enthrone Him;
Each other’s needs to prefer,
For it is Christ We’re serving.

This is our God, the servant king,
He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives
As a daily offering of worship to the Servant King.

MAKE ME A SERVANT

Make me a servant
Humble and meek
LORD let me lift up
Those who are weak
And may the prayer
Of my heart always be
Make me a servant
Make me a servant
Make me a servant.. today..

Make me compassionate
When I would fail
To have your heart when
My love doth grow pale
Break through the ice
That is keeping it bound
Make me warm-hearted
Make me compassionate
Make me like You, Lord, today..

Make me a lifter
Of those who’re weak
Lord, let me speak out
For those who can’t speak
Give me the boldness
Your Spirit provides
Make me outspoken
Make me take action
Make me Your champion today..

Make me a warrior
Of things yet unseen
Praying with passion
With insight that’s keen
Caring for others
And showing Your love
Make me a warrior
Make me discerning
Make me love others today..
